COLUMBIA River Fishing Opportunities
Walleye Fishing
The Columbia River is quickly being recognized as a world class fishery. Fishermen from all over the world are coming to SE Washington to fish for these plentiful and delicious fish.
It has been predicted that the next World Record Walleye will be caught in the Columbia. We are regularly seeing fish over 15 pounds and some getting close to 20 pounds.
Steelhead Fishing
The Columbia, Snake Rivers and there tributaries have some of the best Steelhead fishing that you can find anywhere. Hundreds of thousands of Steelhead call these waters home and return each year to spawn.
There are a couple different runs of Steelhead that return to these waters which includes the early A run and later the B Run. The B run fish are huge and full of fight with many tipping the scales at 10 to 15 pounds.
Salmon Fishing
Chinook or King Salmon
Coho or Silver Salmon

About george preszler
George Preszler is a highly regarded fishing guide based out of the Tri City area in central Washington. George’s peers describe him as the “Silverback” when it comes to being a NW Fishing Guide/ . He has guided such rivers as the:
– Cowlitz River
– Rogue River
– Lewis River
– Snake River
– Columbia River
just to name a few.
George’s love for fishing the Columbia River started when he was 10 years old. He frequented its banks with his rod and Mitchell 300 where he quickly mastered the art of fishing for Salmon and Steelhead.

SEASONS
Spring chinook salmon are next on our agenda, coming from the ocean in early spring. These fish range in size from twelve to twenty pounds.
Closely following the spring chinook fishery are the sockeye salmon and summer chinook salmon. Sockeye range from two to five pounds, but are some of the hardest fighting fish for their size. The summer chinook are ten to thirty pounds on the average.
September brings our largest fish known as the King Salmon to the Columbia River. These monsters can weigh upwards of forty pounds and can be quite a workout.
Once King Salmon wraps up we head back to the beautiful Hells Canyon for some more steelhead action. These very acrobatic fish are exciting to catch on our light spinning rods!
The delicious tasting walleye are available to catch from February to September. We fish for these in the Columbia River, which is the home of the largest walleye in the United States!
